It’s hard to watch people come and go all the time. When they come everything is new and exciting. As you get to know them a real relationship begins to develop between the two; or in this case a family of brothers in Christ. You begin to love and care deeply about them and as more time goes by you share life experiences with one another. As this happens you begin to realize how much you have in common and start to share in each others pain and struggles. Then you find out they’re leaving and you start to have a sick feeling inside. You start questioning if you’ve done all you can to help and comfort them when they needed it. In my case I can’t say that I have and it is hurting deep inside.

Mike has left his past far behind him..He came to the Mission as a call from God and has been an inspiration to all.His new found love with one of the sweetest girls I know , was not of man. They came together through their love for Christ.Under the direction of Pastor Doug Alexander of the New Church Without Walls and almighty God, Mike continues to grow on his path of righteousness.. It is my honor to have him deliver our Thanksgiving message to the poor and homeless this year..We love him dearly..
